Description

The Norma is an 18-light cluster pendant from Schuller featuring eighteen hand-moulded glass globes in clear, amber and smoked grey tones, each suspended on adjustable cords from a 113cm diameter matt black canopy with satin brass detailing. Each globe houses an E27 bulb (18 x 8W dimmable LEDs included), and the individual cord lengths can be adjusted between 150cm minimum and 500cm maximum to create a cascading or tiered arrangement.

Designed for high-ceiling spaces where a large-scale centrepiece is needed, the Norma suits double-height living rooms, entrance halls with 3.5m+ ceilings, loft conversions, dining rooms over long tables, and hospitality lobbies. The 113cm canopy diameter requires a clear ceiling area of approximately 1.2m square, and the 32kg total weight needs to be supported by a suitable ceiling joist or structural fixing point, not a standard plasterboard ceiling rose alone.

The combination of clear, amber and smoked glass creates variation in light diffusion across the cluster, with the clear globes casting sharper shadows, the amber adding warmth, and the smoked grey providing depth and contrast. The satin brass stem details on each pendant give a warm metallic accent against the matt black canopy, and the globes themselves vary in form between ribbed, fluted and smooth profiles, adding textural interest when viewed from multiple angles in a room.

The pendant supports TRIAC and 0-10V dimming protocols, allowing brightness to be controlled from full output down to a low ambient glow. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only. Installation requires an electrician to distribute the 32kg load safely and to set the individual cord lengths before final fixing.

What ceiling height is needed for the Norma?

The minimum drop is 150cm and the canopy diameter is 113cm, so the Norma suits rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above to avoid the lowest globes hanging too close to head height. The maximum 500cm drop allows the pendant to fill taller double-height spaces up to 6m ceiling height.

Are the bulbs included?

Yes. The Norma includes 18 x E27 8W dimmable LED bulbs. These are fitted during installation and do not need to be purchased separately.

Can the pendant be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The specification mentions gravity toggles for pitched ceilings, but the 32kg weight and the need for individual cord adjustment make professional installation essential. Confirm ceiling structure with an electrician before ordering if the ceiling is sloped or vaulted.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. The included LED bulbs support TRIAC and 0-10V dimming protocols. You will need a compatible dimmer switch to control brightness. The pendant is not compatible with standard rotary dimmers designed for incandescent bulbs.
