Description

The Nordica II is a 465mm table lamp built around a white metal stem set into a solid beech base, topped with a 250mm ivory white fabric shade. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and includes an integrated USB charging port recessed into the beech base for charging phones, tablets or other devices without occupying a mains socket.

Designed for bedside tables, desks and living room side tables, the Nordica II provides ambient light through the fabric shade while the USB port keeps the table surface free of charging blocks and trailing cables. The 465mm height positions the shade at a comfortable level for reading beside a bed or armchair, while the 250mm shade diameter gives enough spread of light to illuminate a bedside table or desk corner without glare. The lamp's fabric-covered cable exits the base on a zig-zag weave that runs along the floor or table edge.

The solid beech base gives the lamp a low centre of gravity and a 1.2kg total weight that resists tipping when cables are unplugged or the lamp is nudged. The white metal stem contrasts against the natural wood grain of the beech, creating a Scandinavian aesthetic that pairs well with light-toned interiors, oak furniture and neutral colour schemes. The ivory shade softens the light output and reduces the appearance of the bulb when viewed from the side.

Fitting a 2700K or 3000K bulb produces a warm ambient glow through the ivory white shade, while the integrated USB port charges a device using the same 220-240V mains supply.

Is the Nordica II dimmable?

Yes, if paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not include dimming hardware, so both the bulb and the mains dimmer must support dimming for this to work.

What bulb does it take?

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. We suggest pairing the Nordica II with a 6-10W LED bulb in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient bedside or desk lighting.

What is the USB port output?

The integrated USB port in the beech base provides 5V output suitable for charging phones, tablets and similar devices. It does not support fast-charge protocols, so charging times are typically longer than with a dedicated fast charger.

Is the shade removable for cleaning?

Yes. The fabric shade lifts off the top of the lamp for dusting or light cleaning. The shade should be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth or vacuumed on a low setting to remove dust without distorting the fabric.
