The Nora is an 18cm glass pendant light combining a black marble-effect canopy with a dual-layer cylindrical shade in frosted and chrome glass. The inner frosted glass cylinder diffuses the light from a single E27 bulb (sold separately), while the outer chrome glass layer reflects and amplifies the glow, creating a layered visual effect when lit. The pendant is suspended on a black cable adjustable between 400mm and 1800mm drop.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, and above worktops where a compact pendant provides both task and ambient light, the Nora works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The 400mm minimum drop suits lower ceilings, while the full 1800mm extension allows the pendant to hang 700-900mm above a dining surface in higher-ceilinged spaces. The 18cm diameter gives focused light coverage over a 60-80cm surface area without overwhelming smaller tables or narrow island sections.

The black marble-effect canopy and black cable give the fitting a grounded visual weight that contrasts with the reflective chrome and soft frosted glass below. The dual-layer glass construction means the pendant presents differently depending on whether the light is on or off — off, the chrome outer layer dominates; on, the frosted inner cylinder glows and the chrome reflects warm tones back into the room. Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The pendant itself has no electronic components — dimming is controlled by the bulb and dimmer pairing.

For a kitchen island or dining table, the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the worktop or table surface. With the adjustable cable (400-1800mm), this works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. Lower ceilings use the shorter drop; higher ceilings extend the cable further.

How is the dual-layer glass cleaned?

The outer chrome glass and inner frosted glass can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and glass cleaner. Switch off the power and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning. The two glass layers are separate, so dust can accumulate between them — periodic removal of the shade allows cleaning of both surfaces.
