Description

The Nora is a 200mm semi-flush ceiling light built from layered glass shades, a clear outer cylinder encasing an inner frosted glass tube that houses the E27 bulb fitting. A natural wood collar sits between the glass and the white metal ceiling plate, giving the fitting a 340mm total drop from ceiling to base of glass. The frosted inner shade diffuses light in all directions while the clear outer glass adds depth and a second layer of material interest.

Designed for low to medium ceiling heights (2.3m and above), the Nora suits hallways, bedrooms, compact dining areas and kitchen zones where a pendant drop would be too long but flush-to-ceiling lighting feels too flat. The 200mm diameter footprint and 340mm projection provides presence without dominating the ceiling plane. The semi-flush format directs some light upwards onto the ceiling for ambient lift while the majority of output spreads laterally and downwards through the frosted diffuser.

The natural wood collar is the key material accent. It brings warmth to the white and glass palette and pairs comfortably with Scandinavian, modern rustic and warm-toned contemporary interiors. The wood tone varies slightly between fittings depending on the grain and cut of the collar section. The white ceiling plate and clear glass keep the overall aesthetic light and airy, preventing the fitting from appearing heavy despite the 340mm drop and 1.7kg weight.

The Nora accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to the maximum wattage specified in the Specification table (bulb sold separately). A warm-white LED bulb in the 6-10W range and 2700K-3000K temperature suits most residential applications. Dimming requires a dimmable bulb paired with a compatible mains dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 340mm projection from ceiling to base of glass works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Nora if headroom beneath the fitting is not a concern. Most users install semi-flush fittings away from circulation routes.

Does it come with a bulb?

No. The fitting takes one E27 bulb sold separately. A warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K suits most applications. Check the Specification table for the maximum wattage rating.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself is compatible with dimming when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible mains dimmer switch. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim regardless of the dimmer installed.

Yes. Each wood collar is cut from natural timber, so grain pattern and exact tone vary slightly between individual fittings. This is a characteristic of the natural material, not a defect.
