The Nora is a semi-flush ceiling light built from two layers of glass, a clear outer bell that sits 340mm tall and a frosted white inner cylinder housing a single E27 bulb fitting. A brushed gold canopy mounts the fitting flush to the ceiling, sitting approximately 50mm below the plaster line once installed. The clear outer glass shows the frosted inner shade through it, giving the fixture visible depth when viewed from different angles.

Designed for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too low, the Nora suits bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways and compact living rooms needing central ambient light without floor-to-ceiling drop. The 200mm diameter footprint fits UK ceiling roses and standard junction boxes. The dual-glass construction diffuses the E27 bulb through the frosted inner shade while the clear outer bell softens the edges of the light cone, reducing glare from below.

The brushed gold canopy and collar provide warm metallic accents that pair with brass door furniture, warm-toned timber and neutral wall colours in contemporary and transitional interiors. The Nora takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient bedroom or dining room lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, provided you use a dimmable E27 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. LED bulbs require an LED-rated dimmer; older resistive dimmers designed for halogen or incandescent bulbs may cause flickering with LED bulbs.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 340mm total height means the bottom of the fitting sits approximately 290mm below the ceiling once the canopy is mounted. This works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings and above, providing sufficient headroom beneath the light.

Can the clear outer glass be cleaned?

Yes. The clear outer glass can be wiped with a soft microfibre cloth and standard glass cleaner once the bulb is removed and the power is isolated. The frosted inner shade should be dusted gently or wiped with a barely-damp cloth to avoid streaking.
