Noir 6 Light Cluster Pendant - Grey Smoked Glass

The Noir is a 6-light cluster pendant featuring six hand-blown smoked grey glass shades suspended from a circular grey metal canopy on individual adjustable cables. Each shade is a different organic shape — teardrop, bulbous, and elongated forms — creating visual variety within the cluster. The metal canopy measures 600mm in diameter and mounts flush to the ceiling, with each of the six cables feeding through individual exit points.

Designed for installation above dining tables, kitchen islands and in double-height entrance halls, the Noir works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher where the staggered drops can be appreciated from multiple angles. Each cable is independently adjustable up to 700mm, allowing the cluster to be configured in a tight grouping for lower ceilings or a cascading arrangement for taller spaces. The pendant requires six E14 bulbs (sold separately) and is compatible with dimmer switches, enabling the light output to be adjusted from ambient evening lighting to brighter task levels.

The smoked grey glass shades are blown individually, so minor variations in tone and thickness occur between pieces — this is characteristic of hand-blown glass rather than a defect. When lit, the smoked glass softens the light from the bulbs and casts subtle shadows on surrounding surfaces. The grey metal finish on the canopy and cable grips coordinates with the smoked glass tone, creating a monochromatic palette that pairs with both warm and cool interior schemes. The IP20 rating limits the Noir to dry indoor environments.

What bulbs does the Noir take?

The pendant requires six E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair the Noir with 4-6W LED candle or golf ball bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K). The smoked glass shades reduce perceived brightness, so higher lumen output bulbs work better than in clear glass fittings.

Can the cable lengths be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Each of the six cables is independently adjustable up to 700mm from the canopy. The cables can be configured in a tight cluster, a cascading arrangement, or custom heights to suit the room. Adjustment is typically done during installation but can be changed later if needed.

Is the Noir suitable for sloped ceilings?

The canopy is designed for horizontal ceiling mounting. On sloped ceilings the cables will hang vertically from the mounting point rather than perpendicular to the ceiling plane, which may create an unbalanced visual effect depending on the slope angle.

What's the difference between the white and smoked glass versions?

This is the smoked grey glass variant. The white version (separate product) uses opaque white blown glass shades that diffuse light more evenly and provide higher ambient brightness. The smoked version creates more directional pools of light and shadow contrast.
