Noir 3 Light Bar Pendant - Smoked Glass Chrome

The Noir is a 600mm linear bar pendant suspending three hand-blown smoked glass shades in three different shapes — a teardrop, a rounded onion form, and an elongated oval. Each shade hangs from an independent cable fixed to a polished chrome bar, and the shades are staggered in height to create visual rhythm. The smoked glass finish gives the fitting a grey-toned translucency that diffuses light softly while showing the bulb filament through the glass.

Designed for installation over kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars where task and ambient light are needed together, the 600mm bar suits surfaces between 1.4m and 1.8m in length. The three E14 bulb positions (sold separately) provide distributed light across the surface below, and the adjustable suspension cables allow the drop to be set anywhere from 400mm to 1500mm depending on ceiling height and table proximity. The IP20 rating restricts the fitting to dry indoor locations only.

The combination of chrome metalwork and smoked blown glass pairs well with modern, industrial and transitional interiors where a grey-toned palette is already established. Each glass shade is individually blown, so minor variations in thickness, tone and shape occur between pieces — this is characteristic of the production method. The fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable E14 bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light levels to be adjusted from bright task lighting during meal preparation to softer ambient light during dining.

What bulbs does it take?

The Noir takes three E14 small Edison screw bulbs, sold separately. Most users fit warm-white LED candle or golf-ball bulbs between 4W and 6W at 2700K-3000K. Dimmable bulbs are required if you plan to use a dimmer switch.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes. Each of the three glass shades hangs on an independent suspension cable that can be adjusted between approximately 400mm and 1500mm during installation. The shades are staggered at different heights as standard, creating the asymmetric look visible in the image.

What surface length does it suit?

The 600mm bar length works best over kitchen islands, dining tables or breakfast bars between 1.4m and 1.8m in length. For longer surfaces, consider clustering two Noir pendants or selecting a longer bar pendant from the Ideal Lux range.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry indoor locations only and is not rated for use in bathrooms, wet rooms or any location where moisture or water spray is present.
