Description
The Noctis is a 60mm diameter cylindrical pendant in antique gold with a single GU10 downlight fitting housed inside a 400mm tall metal tube. The narrow profile and downward-focused light make it suited to task lighting over kitchen worktops, bar areas, and narrow counters where a broader pendant would obstruct sightlines.
Designed for installation over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, and counters between 700-900mm above the surface, the Noctis is typically used in clusters of two or three pendants spaced 300-500mm apart along the length of the worktop. The 2000mm fabric cable is adjustable on installation, allowing the drop to be shortened for lower ceilings or lengthened where a longer drop is needed. The pendant canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses.
The antique gold finish has a semi-matte surface with subtle tonal variation that resembles aged brass rather than bright polished gold. This allows the pendant to sit comfortably in both warm-toned contemporary kitchens and more traditional or industrial-style interiors. The metal body is lightweight at approximately 0.3kg per pendant, making it straightforward to install multiple units on a single circuit without needing reinforced ceiling fixings.
The GU10 fitting accepts LED, halogen or CFL GU10 bulbs up to the wattage specified in the Specification table (bulbs sold separately). Most users pair this pendant with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for task lighting. The pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible GU10 dimmable bulb and a trailing-edge LED dimmer switch.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Noctis takes a single GU10 bulb (sold separately). GU10 bulbs are available in LED, halogen and CFL formats. For task lighting over a kitchen island or bar, a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K is typical.
Is it dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.
How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?
The 60mm diameter gives focused downlight rather than broad ambient light. For a typical 1.2-1.5m kitchen island, two or three Noctis pendants spaced 300-500mm apart provide even task lighting along the length of the worktop.
What's the IP rating?
IP20, which means the pendant is rated for dry indoor areas only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor use, or areas where moisture or dust ingress is a concern.
