Description

The Niseko M is a 490mm diameter ceiling fan light with four retractable transparent blades that fold away when the motor stops, leaving a matt black ring-and-disc profile 305mm from the ceiling. An integrated 80W LED panel inside the disc provides 5500lm of dimmable light with adjustable colour temperature from warm white 2700K to cool daylight 5000K, controlled entirely by the included remote. The DC motor runs quieter than AC equivalents and draws less power, making it suitable for bedrooms and home offices where noise matters.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Niseko M provides both cooling airflow and primary ceiling lighting without needing separate fittings. The blades extend to 1060mm diameter when spinning and retract back flush with the 490mm housing when the fan is off, giving a cleaner appearance than fixed-blade ceiling fans. The remote allows independent control of fan speed (multiple settings), light brightness (0-100% dimming) and colour temperature, so airflow and lighting can be adjusted separately depending on the time of day or activity.

The matt black finish on the motor housing and blade tips gives a monochrome look that pairs with contemporary interiors, industrial schemes and minimalist spaces. At 5.2kg the fan requires a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point rated for dynamic loads. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient. The 5500lm output at full brightness is equivalent to approximately 5-6 traditional 60W incandescent bulbs, making the Niseko M bright enough to be the sole light source in a 20-25m² room. The wide 145° beam angle spreads light evenly without hotspots directly beneath the fitting.

Do the blades retract automatically?

Yes. When the motor is running the blades extend outward to 1060mm diameter by centrifugal force. When the fan is switched off the blades fold back flush with the 490mm housing, giving a cleaner profile than fixed-blade ceiling fans.

Can the light and fan be controlled separately?

Yes. The remote control allows independent adjustment of fan speed, light brightness (0-100% dimming) and colour temperature (2700K warm white to 5000K cool daylight). You can run the fan without the light, or the light without the fan.

What ceiling height is required?

The Niseko M sits 305mm from the ceiling when the blades are retracted, and 430mm when an optional downrod is fitted. For safe operation the lowest point of the blades should be at least 2.3m above the floor, which typically requires a ceiling height of 2.6m or above with the standard mounting.

How is it installed?

The 5.2kg weight requires a ceiling joist or reinforced mounting point rated for dynamic loads. Standard plasterboard fixings are not sufficient. If you're unsure whether your ceiling structure can support the fan, consult a qualified electrician before purchasing.
