Description

The Niseko is a 50cm diameter circular LED suspension light with a matt black metal ring housing a 40W integrated LED module. The outer surface is finished in matt black powder coat, while the inner face carries an opal acrylic diffuser that casts 2950 lumens of uniform downlight across a 145-degree beam angle. The LED is tuneable between 2700K warm white and 5000K daylight white via a remote control and companion smartphone app.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas, the Niseko suspends on four thin steel cables adjustable from 250mm to 2000mm drop during installation. At a 500mm outer diameter and 2.2kg weight, the ring provides substantial visual presence without dominating spaces under 4m wide. The black outer ring creates a defined edge against white or light-coloured ceilings, while the opal diffuser prevents glare when viewed from below or side angles.

The colour temperature adjustment allows the light to shift from warm ambient evening light at 2700K to neutral task light at 4000K or cool focus light at 5000K, controlled in real time via the handset or the Mantra app. Dimming is handled through the same controls, stepping the output from 5% to 100% without flicker. The matt black finish pairs with monochrome, industrial and Scandinavian interiors where high contrast between fixture and ceiling is desired.

The canopy measures 150mm diameter in matching matt black and fits standard UK ceiling roses. The LED module is integrated and non-replaceable, rated for 25,000 hours at full output. Mantra backs the fitting with a three-year manufacturer warranty covering the LED driver, housing and suspension hardware.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 250mm minimum drop suits ceilings from 2.4m upwards. For dining tables or kitchen islands, typical installation places the ring 700-850mm above the worktop or table surface, which works in rooms with 2.6m ceilings or higher. The maximum 2000mm drop accommodates double-height spaces or mezzanine installations.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED module is integrated into the ring housing and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for 25,000 hours at full output, equivalent to approximately 10 years of use at 7 hours per day.

Does the opal diffuser reduce glare?
