Description

The Ninette is a 600mm semi-flush ceiling light with an ivory fabric drum shade suspended from an antique brass frame. Two curved brass arms rise from a circular ceiling plate and loop back down to support the shade, creating a sculptural profile that sits 560mm below the ceiling. Four E27 bulb fittings inside the shade diffuse light through the fabric, creating warm ambient light without harsh downward glare.

Designed for rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights where a full pendant would hang too low, the Ninette provides overhead lighting in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and wide hallways without the clearance issues of a longer drop. The semi-flush configuration keeps the fitting close to the ceiling while the 600mm diameter gives enough coverage for spaces up to 15-18m². The wave-shaped lower edge of the fabric shade adds a soft sculptural detail when viewed from below.

The ivory fabric shade filters light evenly across its surface, so the fitting acts as a large diffuse light source rather than a cluster of visible bulbs. The antique brass frame uses a brushed finish with darkened recesses that give depth to the curved metalwork.
