Description

The Nilmelle is a four-blade ceiling fan with light, finished in matt white from the canopy to the blade tips. It measures 122cm across and stands 33.5cm tall, a generous size for a living room or main bedroom. The body is UV resistant ABS, and the round light at its centre pairs integrated LEDs with a milky acrylic diffuser, giving 2,400lm from 20W. It is rated IP20, which settles where it goes: indoors, in a dry room. From below, the four blades and central light read as one clean, simple shape.

We think it earns its place in living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and home offices: anywhere you want moving air in warm weather and good overhead light all year. Three colour temperatures are available, 3000K for a warm white, 4000K for a neutral white and 5000K for a cool, crisp white, so the same fitting can feel cosy in the evening or bright for working. The light is not dimmable, which is worth knowing before it replaces a dimmable pendant. One fitting gives you both breeze and light, so the ceiling stays uncluttered.

A remote control comes in the box, and the fan is controlled by the remote, with three speeds running from a gentle stir to a stronger breeze. The fan is also reversible, so the blades can turn either way: many people run a ceiling fan one direction in summer and the other in winter to move warm air gathered near the ceiling. The matt white finish sits quietly against a pale ceiling. It runs on 220-240V, 50Hz mains, carries an energy class of E, and weighs 7.979KG packed. As a wired-in ceiling fitting, it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download.
