The Nico is a 9-light crystal cluster pendant built around a square polished chrome canopy that suspends nine individual G4 halogen bulbs, each encased within a cluster of circular prism-cut crystal discs. The crystals hang at staggered heights across a 930mm drop, creating a cascading effect that fills vertical space. Each disc is faceted to refract light into multiple angles, turning the fitting into both a light source and a sculptural element when viewed from below.

Designed for double-height spaces, stairwells and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 3m or above, the Nico provides ambient and decorative lighting rather than task illumination. The 290mm-wide canopy centres over a dining table or in a hallway, while the 930mm drop allows the lowest crystal cluster to sit approximately 2m above floor level in a typical installation. The polished chrome frame reflects both daylight and the halogen bulb light back through the crystals, amplifying the prism effect.

The nine G4 halogen bulbs (included) run at 20W each for a total 180W load, providing warm 2700-3000K light. The crystals themselves are optical glass rather than acrylic, giving sharper refraction and a heavier 4.5kg overall weight that requires secure ceiling fixing. The fitting is not dimmable and is not compatible with LED or CFL G4 replacements — halogen bulbs only.

Is the Nico dimmable?

No. The fitting is not compatible with dimmer switches. The halogen bulbs run at full brightness when switched on.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 930mm drop works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 3m or above. In a typical installation the lowest crystal cluster sits approximately 2m above floor level, leaving adequate head clearance in a hallway or above a dining table.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal disc with a dry microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the crystals and do not use household glass cleaners or sprays near the electrical components.
