Description

The Quoizel Newbury is a 311mm-tall outdoor wall lantern with a hexagonal cage of clear bevelled glass panels and a lacquered polished brass frame. The brass canopy, arm and cage structure are sealed with a protective lacquer that maintains the mirror-like polished brass finish in outdoor exposure. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass cage behind bevelled panels that refract light at the edges.

Designed for porch entrances, front door flanking positions and courtyard walls where a compact fitting is needed, the Newbury carries an IP44 rating for exposure to rain and moisture. The 169mm projection from the wall and 177mm width suit side-of-door installation on most UK porches and cottage entrances. The polished brass finish provides a traditional accent that pairs with Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian-era architecture, and sits comfortably next to brass door furniture and letterboxes.

The bevelled glass panels add a level of detail absent from plain flat-glass lanterns — the bevel cuts catch light at different angles during the day and create subtle prism effects at night when the bulb is lit.
