Description

The Nero is a 340mm wall light built around overlapping curved glass panels, each acid-etched to soften and diffuse light from two E27 bulb positions behind the glass. The circular glass elements stack and interlock to form a cloud-like shape against the wall, with each panel refracting light differently depending on the curve and etch depth of that particular piece.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms and living room accent positions, the Nero sits 170mm from the wall and casts soft ambient light across adjacent surfaces rather than directing it downward or outward as a reading light. The two-bulb configuration provides enough output for 3-4m hallway runs or flanking positions either side of a bed or sofa. The fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible LED E27 bulbs and a trailing-edge dimmer.

The acid-etched finish removes the glossy surface layer from each glass panel, giving a frosted semi-opaque appearance that hides the bulbs when the light is off and spreads the glow evenly when lit. The white glass acts as the primary decorative element — there is no coloured frame or border, so the fitting presents as pure glass from the front. The mounting plate and wiring are concealed behind the rear panel. The IP20 rating restricts the Nero to dry indoor locations — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable — avoid household glass cleaners or sprays as these may leave streaks on the acid-etched surface. The fitting should be switched off and allowed to cool before cleaning.
