Description
Light and moving air come from the same white housing here. It measures 74cm across, and the 18W integrated LED gives 3600 lumens at full output. A handset does the work: dim from full brightness down to something quiet for the evening, and slide the tone from a warm yellow-white through to a cool, daylight-leaning white when the room needs to feel awake. The fan is built into the same body and runs on a DC motor.
It suits rooms that need both at once and have no room to hang two separate fittings: a bedroom, a home office that heats up by mid-afternoon, a sitting room with a lot of glass, a loft room under a warm roof. Because the tone adjusts, the same fitting gives a cool bright setting for reading or working and a soft warm one later on. We would choose it where a fan alone would leave the ceiling looking unfinished, and where a pendant plus a separate fan would crowd a small room.
The finish is white throughout, which keeps it quiet against a painted ceiling. Driver and remote both come with it, so there is nothing further to buy. It carries a five year warranty. For cleaning, take the power off and go over the outer surfaces with a dry microfibre cloth; dust gathers faster on a fitting that moves air, so it pays to do this more often than with a plain light. Keep it to dry indoor rooms, well away from steam and splashes. It is plain enough to sit with simple furniture and painted plaster, and it is our pick for a room doing double duty as bedroom and study. The LED is built in, so there is no lamp to change.

Frequently Asked
Do I need to buy a bulb for it?
No. The LED is integrated and rated at 18W, giving 3600lm, with an average life of around 25,000 hours. The driver is supplied with the fitting.
What colour temperatures does it give?
It is tuneable from 3000K warm white through to 5000K cool white, set from the supplied remote, so you can match the room to the time of day.
How large is it, and how far does it drop?
It measures 740mm across the widest point by 440mm, with a height of 260mm. Allow clearance below it for the fan to move air freely.
How is the brightness controlled?
Dimming is handled by the remote control that comes in the box, so no separate wall dimmer is needed.
Can it go in a bathroom or a covered porch?
No. It is rated IP20, which means dry indoor rooms only, and it needs an earth connection as a Class 1 fitting.
How should I clean it?
Isolate the power first, then use a dry microfibre cloth on the white surfaces. Avoid sprays and damp cloths, and do not let water reach the electrics.
