Description

A broad, shallow disc that reads far more like a light than a fan, this one holds an integrated LED behind its diffuser and a DC fan within the same slim body. It spans 72cm, so it covers a generous width of ceiling without hanging down into the room. The LED draws 15W and gives around 3000 lumens, tuneable from warm white through to a crisp cool white, and the supplied remote takes care of switching, dimming and the colour setting. Wood and white are worked together across the housing, which keeps things calm overhead rather than mechanical.

We would fit this in a bedroom or a living room where a conventional fan would look too industrial, and it earns its keep in a home office or a top-floor room that heats up through the summer. Its width suits larger spaces, where a small pendant tends to look lost. Dimmed low and set warm, it settles an evening down nicely; run brighter and cooler, it is honest light for reading, desk work or folding laundry. It is one we reach for when a room needs air movement and proper light without asking for a second fitting.

The wood tones bring a bit of warmth to what is otherwise a plain white form, and the diffuser spreads light evenly rather than throwing a hot spot. A fan gathers dust more readily than a still light does, so run a soft dry cloth over the surfaces now and again with the power off and everything at rest, and keep anything damp away from the wood. There are no bulbs to change, as the LED and its driver are built in. It carries a five year warranty. We like it in rooms where oak or ash already appears in the furniture, and against pale plaster it more or less disappears until you want it.
