Description
The Nelbenne is a round, slim LED downlight in white, 50cm across and only 6.5cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling as a clean, flat disc of light. The body and the shade are both white plastic, and a fine white rim frames a frosted diffuser that softens the LEDs behind it. The LEDs are integrated and give 4,800lm from 29W at 4000K, a clear neutral light that keeps a room bright for reading and desk work. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms.
At 50cm across it is a good choice for a larger room that needs plenty of general light from a single fitting: a home office, a study, a living room or a bedroom. The neutral white suits rooms where you read, write or work at a desk, and the slim profile keeps it tidy on a ceiling of ordinary height, where a pendant might hang too low. Because it sits close to the ceiling, it gives a calm, uncluttered look that fits modern and traditional rooms equally well.
The LEDs are built in and cannot be replaced, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. It is not dimmable and has no switch of its own; it runs from your wall switch and gives its full output every time. It works on a 220-240V, 50/60Hz supply, and as a mains light that is wired in, it is installed by a qualified electrician. The installation instructions come as a download, and the packed weight is 1.976KG, worth knowing when you plan the job.
