Description

The Nebula is a 25cm pendant light combining a smoky black glass sphere with a matt black cylindrical canopy and cylindrical metal connector. A 6W integrated LED sits inside the black metal base below the sphere, casting warm 3000K light up through the smoky glass, which diffuses and softens it into ambient downlight. The glass sphere appears to float on the black metal stem, with the cable running through the upper canopy.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands, hallways and bedside positions, the Nebula works as a single pendant or in grouped compositions. The 3-metre cable allows height adjustment during installation from a minimum drop of 70cm to a maximum of 360cm, making it adaptable to standard 2.4m ceilings or higher vaulted spaces. The black-on-black combination suits industrial, minimalist and contemporary interiors, particularly where a low-contrast monochrome palette is wanted.

The smoky black glass sphere is hand-blown, giving slight tonal variation between individual pieces — some appear darker charcoal, others lighter graphite when unlit. When the LED is switched on, the smoky glass reveals the warm light source inside while maintaining a muted external appearance. The matt black metal fittings absorb rather than reflect light, keeping visual attention on the glass sphere itself. The IP20 rating limits the Nebula to dry indoor locations.

Is the Nebula dimmable?

The integrated 6W LED operates on mains voltage (AC 220-240V). Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model. Contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm compatibility with this Maytoni fitting.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Nebula is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, outdoor locations, or anywhere moisture or direct water contact is possible.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop is 70cm and the maximum is 360cm. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. The 3-metre cable is adjusted during installation to suit the specific ceiling height.
