Description

This square grey photo frame is made for the pet who rules the household, with the words 'my furry friend' written in a flowing script beside the picture. Little paw prints are dotted above and below the words, and a fish motif sits in the lower corner, a playful touch that keeps the whole design light-hearted. The frame is made from MDF in a soft grey finish and holds one 6 x 4in photograph, set upright in a rectangular window on the left. It measures 19cm high and 19cm wide and is 1.5cm deep, so it takes up little room while giving the picture a generous border.

We think it suits a shelf, a desk or a bedside table, anywhere a favourite face deserves to be seen every day. The quiet grey sits well with white, cream and natural wood, so it fits a living room, a study or a hallway console without fuss. It makes a warm gift for a friend who treats their pet as one of the family, a small thank you for all the cuddles and the company. The fish design makes it a natural home for a picture of a cat, though any furry companion will look just as happy in it.

MDF gives the frame a smooth, even surface, and the single rectangular window keeps the layout simple: one photograph, one message. To care for it, dust with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from water and damp, as MDF is best kept dry. A close-up portrait suits it best, since the upright window and the words beside it work beautifully with one face filling the picture. For a gift, slip a favourite snap of the pet inside before you wrap it, so the frame is ready to go straight onto a shelf the moment it is opened.
