Description

This square photo frame in soft grey MDF gives a much-loved pet pride of place, with the words 'my furry friend' written in flowing silver script beside the picture window. Four black paw prints scamper around the lettering and a shiny silver bone sits beneath them, so there is no mistaking whose portrait belongs here. The window takes a 6 x 4in photograph upright, in portrait, and the frame measures 19cm high, 19cm wide and 1.5cm deep, a neat square that fits a crowded shelf. The grey is a pale, warm shade close to cream, so it sits quietly with most colour schemes.

It belongs wherever you would like a daily glimpse of your companion: a bedside table, a hall shelf, the mantelpiece or a desk at work. The bone gives it a natural lean towards dogs, though the words and paw prints suit any furry member of the family just as well. We think it makes a thoughtful gift for a friend who dotes on their pet, and a lovely way for any pet lover to frame a favourite snap of a new arrival or a faithful old friend.

On the back, a black fold-out easel lets the frame stand on its own on a shelf or table, so it needs no wall, and a small hook at the top lets it hang instead if you prefer. Two turn clips hold the black backing board in place, which makes changing the photograph quick and easy whenever a better picture comes along. To keep the MDF looking its best, dust it with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from steamy or damp spots. Slip a favourite photograph inside before you wrap it, and the gift is ready to bring a smile the moment it is opened.

How big is the frame overall?

The frame is a neat square, 19cm high, 19cm wide and 1.5cm deep, so it sits comfortably on a bedside table or a shelf.

The frame is made from MDF with a smooth pale grey finish, a warm shade close to cream, set off by silver lettering and black paw prints.

Is it only for dog owners?

The silver bone suits dog lovers especially, but the 'my furry friend' words and the paw prints work well for any much-loved furry pet.

How do I look after it?
