The Musurita is a slim, round LED ceiling light that sits close to the ceiling, with a white diffuser framed by a deep rim in a natural wood-effect finish. The body is plastic and steel, so you get the warm look of pale timber grain without real wood. It measures 34cm in diameter and 6cm high. The light comes from integrated LEDs rated at 14.6W, giving 1,600lm of warm white light at 3000K, so there is no separate bulb to buy. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, and that settles the big question: it can go in a bathroom as well as any dry room.

With that IP44 rating it is a natural choice for a bathroom ceiling, and a qualified electrician will confirm the right zone. Away from the bathroom we like it just as much in a hallway, landing, bedroom or kitchen, anywhere you want even, general light from a fitting that keeps close to the ceiling. Because it sits so low, it suits rooms with lower ceilings where a hanging pendant would get in the way. The wood-effect rim brings a little warmth to white tiles and grey walls, and sits happily alongside wooden vanity units and other natural textures, so the room feels softer than it would with a plain white fitting.

The body combines steel and plastic, and the white plastic shade spreads the light evenly across the whole face.
