Description

This cheerful goose plaque is a cream MDF cut-out of a plump goose, with MUMMY across her wing in soft pink capitals and the words 'You are beautiful Lovely and kind' in smaller pink lettering beneath. She has a closed, sleepy eye, a rosy pink cheek and a bright orange beak, wears a pink ribbon bow at her neck and stands on one leg in a blue boot. Faint peach swirls trace the line of her wing behind the lettering. At 15.1cm tall, 9.8cm across and 2.5cm deep, she is small enough for the narrowest shelf yet thick enough to stand on her own.

Set her wherever Mum will read her message each day: a bedside table, a dressing table, a kitchen windowsill or a bookshelf among family frames. Because she stands on the flat base of her boot, she needs no hook, nail or wall space, and she is easy to move from room to room. We think she makes a thoughtful gift for Mum, and a sweet one for little ones to give, since MUMMY is the name so many children call her. The kind words on the wing say what can be hard to fit into a card, and the cheerful goose in her bow and boot keeps the message light and fun.

The plaque is a thick piece of MDF, cream all over, with the goose and her words on the front and the back left plain cream. The bow sits at her neck as a soft finishing touch. To keep her looking fresh, dust her with a soft dry cloth and keep her somewhere dry, as MDF is best kept away from damp. For gifting, she fits neatly into a small box or gift bag with a handwritten tag, and on the day itself she sits happily beside a bunch of flowers or a cup of tea in bed.
