Description

Artificial flowers, 63cm tall, in brown. At 16cm wide it is about the width of a laptop. A faux plant goes where a real one would not survive: a dark corner, a windowless bathroom, a hallway nobody waters. That is the case for it.

Warm tones sit naturally with timber, brass and anything with a yellow bias in it, and fight cooler greys unless something else in the room bridges them. Pieces bought as a set have already been matched for finish and proportion, which is the hard part of grouping anything. Split them between rooms and they still read as related. Moulded plastic is light and unbothered by being knocked, which is what makes it sensible where something will be handled or moved often. It will chalk slightly after years of direct sun. Steel carries a load through a thinner section than any timber can, which is why a steel frame can look this light and still not flex. Powder-coated, it takes a knock as a chip rather than a dent.

Look at the stems rather than the leaves. Convincing foliage on a moulded plastic stem still reads as artificial from across a room.

It needs nothing beyond dusting, and a damp cloth on the finish rather than anything solvent.
