Description
The Mossgrove twisted wall light holds two spiralled clear glass shades on a brushed aged brass frame, standing 450mm tall, 120mm wide and projecting just 150mm from the wall. Two G9 LED capsules at 5W each sit inside the glass, and the twist in each shade breaks the light into brighter and softer bands as it spills up and down the plaster. The whole wall sconce weighs 0.4kg, so fixing it is about as simple as wall lighting gets.
Two lamps in one fitting give you more output than a single wall light without taking up more wall, which makes this a good choice in a hall that has no ceiling point, on a landing, or either side of a bed where you read. It also works flanking a mirror or a fireplace in a dry room, and fitted in pairs at matching heights two of them settle a long blank wall better than one ever will. There is no dimmer function, so it runs from a standard switch; warm white capsules keep it gentle in a bedroom. We often use a pair of these in a hall that has no ceiling rose.
The backplate and arms are metal in brushed aged brass, a matt finish with a slightly darkened tone that hides marks better than polished brass. Each glass shade unscrews so you can wash it in warm water and dry it fully before refitting. Let the G9 capsules cool and handle them with a cloth rather than bare fingers. At 0.4kg the fixings are not the difficulty, though a level pencil line is worth the trouble when you mount more than one. A Mossgrove pendant carries the same twisted glass overhead.

Frequently Asked
What is the Mossgrove wall light made from?
A metal backplate and arms in brushed aged brass, with two twisted clear glass shades.
How far does it come off the wall?
Just 150mm, with a height of 450mm and a width of 120mm, so it suits narrow halls and tight bedside spaces.
Is it dimmable?
No, it runs from a standard switch. Choosing warm white G9 lamps is the easiest way to soften it.
What lamps does it need?
Two G9 capsules at up to 5W each. Let them cool before changing and handle the capsule with a cloth.
How do I clean the twisted shades?
Unscrew each one, wash in warm water, dry fully, then refit. A dry soft cloth is all the brushed brass needs.
Can it go in a bathroom?
No. The IP20 rating means dry rooms only, such as halls, bedrooms and living rooms.
