Description
The Mistral is a white ceiling fan light with a 1062mm blade span and integrated 80W tuneable LED delivering 3200 lumens. Four retractable blades fold away when the fan is off, leaving a clean circular disc profile of 515mm diameter. When the fan runs, the blades extend automatically to create airflow across rooms up to 20-25m². The LED panel sits behind an opal acrylic diffuser at the base of the unit, casting even downlight with a 120° beam angle.
Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and open-plan dining areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.5m, the Mistral operates on a DC motor that runs near-silently compared to conventional AC ceiling fans. The included remote control adjusts fan speed across six settings, LED brightness on a continuous dimming scale, and colour temperature between warm 3000K and cool daylight 6500K. A timer function allows the fan to be set to run for 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours before switching off automatically.
The white powder-coated steel canopy and blade housing measure 325mm in height when the blades are retracted, extending to 450mm when the blades are deployed. The 5.2kg weight requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or rated mounting bracket. Surface-fixed plasterboard ceiling roses are not suitable. The fan connects to standard UK 230V mains via a switched ceiling rose or pull-cord switch, with the remote providing all speed, light and timer control once power is on.

Frequently Asked
How is the fan controlled?
All fan speed, light brightness, colour temperature and timer functions are controlled via the included remote. The ceiling switch or pull-cord simply provides mains power on/off. Once power is on, the remote handles all adjustments.
What ceiling height is needed?
The fan sits 325mm below the ceiling when blades are retracted, extending to 450mm when running. For safe clearance the lowest point of the blades should be at least 2.3m above floor level, which typically requires a ceiling height of 2.7m or above.
Is the fan suitable for sloped ceilings?
No. The Mistral is designed for horizontal ceiling installation only. The retractable blade mechanism relies on the unit being mounted level.
What room size does it suit?
The 1062mm blade span provides effective airflow for rooms up to 20-25m² (approximately 4m x 5m to 5m x 5m). Larger rooms may benefit from two units or a larger-diameter fan model.
