Description

The Mireya is a 6-light wall fitting built around a curved black metal frame with rows of fine black chain draped from top to bottom, forming a continuous veil across the front of the housing. Six E14 LED bulbs (6W each) sit behind the chain layer, casting light through the gaps so the chains catch and scatter the output rather than blocking it. The fitting measures 34cm tall by 21cm wide and weighs 2.5kg.

Designed for hallways, stairwells, lounges and dining rooms where a wall light needs to do more visual work than a standard up/down fitting, the Mireya projects only a short distance from the wall but delivers a layered, textured glow across the surrounding plaster. The chains move slightly with air currents, giving the lit fitting a sense of motion that flat-fronted wall lights cannot replicate. Hardwired installation to a standard UK wall box is required.

The chain veil is finished in black to match the gloss black top and base caps, giving the fitting a single tonal identity when unlit. Once switched on, the contrast inverts: the chains read as bright vertical lines against the dark frame, with hot spots where the bulbs sit directly behind the veil. Six separate E14 sources spread the light evenly along the width of the fitting rather than concentrating it in one bright zone.

What bulbs does the Mireya take?

The fitting takes 6 x E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs at 6W LED each. We recommend warm white 2700K-3000K bulbs to complement the black chain veil and give a softer glow through the metalwork. Bulbs may be sold separately — check the product listing.

Is it dimmable?

The fitting itself does not include a dimmer module. Dimmability depends on the LED bulbs you fit and the dimmer switch on the circuit. If dimming is required, choose dimmable E14 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer.

How is it installed?

The Mireya is a hardwired wall light designed for installation by a qualified electrician onto a standard UK wall box on a 230-240V mains circuit. It mounts flat to the wall with the chain veil facing outward.

Are the chains fixed or do they move?

The chains hang freely from the top of the frame, anchored at the base, so they have a small amount of natural movement when air currents pass the fitting. This is intentional and gives the lit fitting a subtle sense of motion across the wall.
