Description

The Mirax is a compact swivelling LED wall light with a cylindrical head mounted on a circular white metal backplate. The light head rotates and tilts within a ball-and-socket fitting, allowing the 3W integrated LED beam to be directed towards a reading position, across a wall surface, or downward onto a hallway floor. The integrated LED runs at 3000K warm white and is rated for 220-240V mains.

Designed as task lighting for bedside reading, hallway accent lighting, or directed spotlighting in smaller rooms, the Mirax occupies just 85mm of wall length and projects 70mm when the head is angled forward. The white powder-coated metal finish pairs with contemporary, Scandinavian and minimalist interiors where clean lines and neutral tones are preferred. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor locations away from bathrooms and outdoor exposure.

The swivel mechanism allows the light to be angled after installation without re-fixing the backplate, making it easy to redirect the beam when furniture is moved or the room layout changes. At 3W the LED provides focused task illumination rather than room-wide ambient light, so the Mirax is typically used in pairs for bedside reading or as one of several accent lights along a hallway. The metal construction and powder-coated finish are resistant to everyday handling and cleaning.

Is the Mirax dimmable?

The integrated 3W LED is not dimmable. The light operates at full output when switched on. If dimming is required, consider installing the Mirax on a switched circuit that can be controlled separately from main room lighting.

What range of movement does the swivel head have?

The cylindrical head rotates within a ball-and-socket fitting, allowing approximately 180 degrees of vertical tilt and 90 degrees of horizontal rotation. This allows the beam to be directed from straight-on to downward or angled across a wall surface.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Mirax is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It is not protected against moisture ingress and should not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms, or outdoor locations.

How is it wired?

The Mirax connects to mains wiring via a terminal block inside the backplate. Standard UK mains cable (live, neutral, earth) is required. The backplate fixes to a wall with two screws through the circular mounting plate, then the cable is connected and the cover clips on. Full installation instructions are in the downloadable manual.
