Description

The Mirax is an 85mm-wide LED wall light with a single cylindrical swivel head mounted on a circular matt black backplate. The head rotates through approximately 350° horizontally and tilts vertically, allowing the 3W 3000K LED beam to be directed towards a reading position, across a wall as wash light, or down onto a bedside table or desk surface.

Designed for bedside reading, hallway accent lighting and reading nooks where wall-mounted task lighting is needed, the Mirax sits 70mm proud of the wall when the head is vertical. The compact 85mm backplate means the fitting works in narrow spaces where larger wall lights would dominate, such as either side of a bed in smaller bedrooms or above picture frames in hallways. The swivel mechanism uses a friction joint that holds position once set rather than springing back to centre.

The matt black metal construction gives a low-sheen finish that suits industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors without adding reflective glare under daylight. The integrated 3W LED outputs warm white light at 3000K, providing sufficient directed brightness for reading without overwhelming a bedroom at night. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry internal rooms only — it is not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

The integrated 3W LED is not dimmable. The fitting is designed to provide consistent directed task light at full brightness when switched on.

How far does the head swivel?

The cylindrical head rotates approximately 350° horizontally on the backplate and tilts vertically through about 90°, allowing the beam to be directed in most directions from the mounting point. The friction joint holds the position once set.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Mirax is only suitable for dry internal rooms. It does not carry the IP44 or IP65 rating required for bathroom zones or outdoor installation.

What width is the backplate?
