Description
The Minster is a 6 light chandelier with looped metal arms finished in black with gold patina detailing, designed specifically for lower ceiling heights. Each of the six arms curves outward from a central stem before looping back upward to hold an E14 candle bulb fitting, creating a compact 480mm diameter footprint that suits dining rooms and living spaces with ceiling heights from 2.4m upward.
The chandelier can be installed as a pendant with an adjustable drop between 440mm and 1075mm, or converted to a semi-flush ceiling fitting by removing the chain and mounting the canopy directly to the ceiling rose. This flexibility makes it suitable for period properties with lower ceilings where a traditional multi-arm chandelier would otherwise hang too low. The six E14 fittings take candle bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately.
The black metal frame carries a gold patina finish that shows through on raised edges and decorative details, giving the chandelier a two-tone character that pairs with both traditional and transitional interiors. The looped arms reference Georgian and Regency-era ironwork without replicating it directly, sitting comfortably in rooms with oak furniture, painted panelling or neutral contemporary schemes. The metal construction gives the fitting a 2.8kg weight that anchors securely to standard UK ceiling roses.
Optional glass shades are available separately to fit over the candle bulbs, adding diffusion and protecting the bulbs from dust. The 640mm chain length allows for height adjustment during installation, with excess chain looped inside the ceiling canopy once the desired drop is set.

Frequently Asked
Can the Minster be used in rooms with low ceilings?
Yes. The chandelier can be converted to a semi-flush fitting by removing the chain and mounting the canopy directly to the ceiling rose, bringing the minimum drop down to 440mm. This makes it suitable for ceiling heights from 2.4m upward.
What bulbs does it take?
The Minster takes six E14 candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for ambient dining room or living room light.
Are glass shades available?
Yes. Optional glass shades can be purchased separately to fit over the E14 candle bulbs. These add diffusion and protect the bulbs from dust while softening the light output.
How is the gold patina finish applied?
The gold patina is a surface treatment applied over the black base finish, showing through on raised edges and decorative details. This gives the chandelier a two-tone aged metal appearance rather than a uniform black or gold finish.
