Description

The Minster is a 5-light chandelier with looped metal arms finished in ivory with gold patina accents, suspended from a matching central column and ceiling canopy. Each arm curves outward from the central stem and terminates in a candle drip tray holding an E14 bulb socket. The 370mm diameter and 405-1010mm adjustable drop make this a compact chandelier suited to lower ceiling heights and smaller dining rooms.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms with 2.2-2.6m ceiling heights, the Minster provides decorative ambient light without overwhelming the space. The 405mm minimum drop positions the chandelier close to the ceiling for rooms where headroom is limited, while the 1010mm maximum drop allows it to sit lower in rooms with standard or higher ceilings. The chandelier accepts five E14 candle bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or filament bulbs depending on the light output and colour temperature required.

The ivory finish is applied over a metal frame and shows subtle gold patina where the underlying metal catches the light at the arm joints and drip trays. This two-tone effect gives the chandelier a slightly aged, antique appearance that pairs with both traditional oak furniture and lighter, transitional interiors using creams and greys. The Minster range also includes the option to convert this model into a semi-flush fitting by shortening the suspension rod, and optional glass shades can be added to the candle positions if preferred.

What ceiling height does the Minster suit?

The 405mm minimum drop works in rooms with 2.2m ceilings where a full-drop chandelier would hang too low. The 1010mm maximum drop suits standard 2.4-2.6m ceiling heights, positioning the chandelier 700-900mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height.

What bulbs does it take?

The Minster takes five E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a soft, traditional glow.

Can it be converted to a semi-flush fitting?

Yes. Elstead Lighting designed the Minster range to allow conversion to a semi-flush ceiling light by shortening the suspension rod during installation. This brings the chandelier closer to the ceiling and reduces the total drop.

Are glass shades available?

Optional glass shades can be added to the candle positions if you prefer a more enclosed look or need to diffuse the light from exposed filament bulbs. Contact us for compatibility and availability.
