Description

The Minster is a 5-arm chandelier built on a black metal frame with gold patina detailing, carrying five candle-style E14 bulbs (sold separately) on looped arms that curve outward from a central column. The 370mm diameter and 345mm body height make it suitable for rooms where a full-scale chandelier would overpower the space, particularly dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms with ceiling heights between 2.4-2.7m.

The fitting can be installed as a standard pendant with an adjustable drop between 405mm and 1010mm, or converted to a semi-flush mount by removing the chain and fixing the canopy directly to the ceiling rose. This gives flexibility in lower-ceiling rooms where a suspended chandelier would sit too close to head height. The black finish provides the primary visual mass, while the gold patina catches light on the raised edges of the metalwork and at the drip pans beneath each candle holder.

The metal frame weighs enough to feel substantial without requiring additional ceiling support beyond a standard UK ceiling rose. The looped arm design references traditional wrought-iron chandeliers but the proportions are compact enough for contemporary room sizes. Optional glass candle shades (not included) can be added to each E14 holder to soften the light or increase the perceived formality of the fitting, depending on interior requirements.

Five E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, up to 60W each. Bulbs are not included. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional candle-flame effect.

Can it be fitted to low ceilings?

Yes. The chandelier can be installed as a semi-flush mount by removing the chain and fixing the canopy directly to the ceiling rose, giving a minimum drop of 405mm from ceiling to the lowest point of the arms. This works in rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.3m.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The drop is adjustable during installation by shortening the chain to any length between 405mm and 1010mm. Once installed, the chain length is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-fitted.

Can glass shades be added?

Yes. The E14 candle holders accept optional glass candle shades. These are not included with the chandelier but can be purchased separately to soften the light or increase formality depending on the room.
