Description
This miniature alarm clock takes the shape of an old television set. It has a glossy red body, a pair of silver aerials rising from a domed top and a silver bezel framing the dial like a little screen. The black dial carries clear silver numerals and minute marks, with silver hour and minute hands and a slim red seconds hand. A silver panel along the base picks out two knobs and a grille, just as a vintage set would have them. It stands 7cm tall, 5.5cm wide and 2.5cm deep, small enough to sit in the palm of your hand yet easy to read at a glance.
At only 2.5cm deep it needs the barest strip of space, so it settles happily on a crowded bedside table, a narrow bookshelf or the corner of a desk without getting in the way. We like it perched on a stack of books or tucked among framed photographs, where the bright red catches the eye and that familiar little television shape never fails to raise a smile. It brings a playful retro note to a bedroom, a study or a living room shelf.
The clock runs on one LR44 button cell, and we include it, so it is ready to go as soon as you have set the time. Everything you need sits on the back: two small knobs for setting the time and the alarm, a switch to turn the alarm on and off, and a round cover over the battery that opens with a turn. Dust it now and then with a soft dry cloth to keep the red finish bright and the silver trim gleaming, and keep it out of damp places. Set it by the bed to wake you each morning, or wrap it as a cheerful gift for anyone whose shelves could use a little fun.

What battery does it take, and is one included?
It takes one LR44 button cell, and we include the battery, so you only need to set the time and the alarm before you use it.
