Description

The Micron is a 13cm diameter pendant light with a dual-layer shade structure: an outer shell of fine gold-finished metal mesh wrapped around an inner cylinder of clear acrylic filled with suspended bubbles. A polished chrome canopy and 140cm adjustable cable suspend the fitting, and an integrated 5W 3000K LED inside the acrylic cylinder provides 450lm of warm-white light diffused through both the bubble texture and the mesh outer.

Designed for hallways, kitchen islands, dining nooks and bedside positions where a compact pendant is needed without overwhelming the space, the Micron pairs decorative and functional roles. The gold mesh outer softens the light output while adding a warm metallic accent that pairs with brass hardware, warm timber tones and mixed-metal schemes. The chrome canopy provides a cooler counterpoint that works in interiors where polished chrome taps, handles or light switches are already present.

The dimmable LED allows the output to be reduced from full 450lm down to a low-glow level suitable for evening ambience or hallway night lighting, depending on the dimmer switch used. The pendant weighs 0.73kg and the 45-140cm drop range means it can be set short for low ceilings or extended for taller spaces. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior locations only.

Is the Micron dimmable?

Yes. The integrated 5W LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — trailing-edge dimmers designed for LED loads typically give the best performance.

What ceiling height is needed?

The pendant can be set anywhere between 45cm and 140cm drop. For a kitchen island or dining nook, a 60-80cm drop typically works well in rooms with 2.4m ceilings. For hallways or bedside use, a shorter 45-60cm drop may be more appropriate.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Micron is only suitable for dry interior locations. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas where moisture is present.

How is the bubble acrylic cleaned?

Wipe the outer mesh and acrylic cylinder with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks on the acrylic, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fitting and do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the acrylic or the gold mesh finish.
