Description

The Micron is an 88cm linear bar pendant from Schuller carrying four metal mesh shades suspended from a chrome canopy. Each shade consists of a black cylindrical sleeve capped with an amber-gold woven mesh globe, housing an integrated 5W 3000K LED module. The total 20W output is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, allowing control from soft accent light to brighter task illumination.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and workbenches where distributed light along a horizontal axis is needed, the Micron provides four distinct light sources across an 88cm span. The drop height adjusts between 45cm and 145cm on installation, giving flexibility for ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. Each mesh globe diffuses the LED point source while allowing glimpses of the lamp capsule inside, creating textural interest when viewed from an angle. The chrome canopy and twisted fabric cables provide visual continuity along the suspension run.

The amber-gold mesh finish on each globe creates warm reflections when lit and contrasts with the cooler chrome and black metalwork. The mesh construction weighs less than solid glass or metal shades, bringing the total fitting weight to 3kg despite the 88cm length. Yes. The integrated 20W LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — contact us before installation to confirm pairing with your existing dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The drop height adjusts between 45cm and 145cm on installation. For a kitchen island or dining table the pendants typically hang 70-80cm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Micron if the drop is set to the minimum 45cm.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior spaces. The fitting is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor locations or anywhere exposed to moisture.

What's the light output across all four pendants?

The specification lists 1.8lm total, which appears to be a data error (typical 20W LED output would be 1,600-2,000lm). Please contact us for confirmed lumen output before purchase if light level is critical to your installation.
