Description

The Micron is a 4-light LED bar pendant from Schuller that combines gold metal stems with black mesh cylindrical shades and bubble-textured acrylic diffusers. Each of the four pendants houses a 5W integrated LED (20W total) emitting warm 3000K light through the double-layered shade structure, where the inner bubble acrylic softens the glow and the outer black mesh adds industrial texture and visual depth.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan living areas, the Micron spans 880mm along the horizontal bar and offers adjustable drop heights from 450mm to 1450mm on installation. The pendant suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung over a surface, with the four lights spaced evenly along the bar to provide distributed task lighting across a worktop or table length of 1.8-2.4m. The matt black rectangular canopy mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose and includes gravity toggles for secure fixing.

The gold finish on the metal stems and mounting hardware contrasts with the matt black mesh casing, creating a two-tone look that pairs well with both warm brass-toned and cooler industrial interiors. The bubble detailing inside the clear acrylic diffusers breaks up the light path and adds visual interest when viewed from the side. Yes. The integrated LEDs are dimmable when paired with a compatible trailing-edge or leading-edge dimmer switch. Contact us before installation if you need specific dimmer model recommendations for this Schuller fitting.

What length table or island does it suit?

The 880mm bar width and even spacing of the four lights work well over kitchen islands or dining tables between 1.8m and 2.4m in length. For longer surfaces, consider pairing two Micron pendants or choosing a longer bar pendant design.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop height is set during installation by cutting the suspension cables to the required length between 450mm and 1450mm. Once installed, the height cannot be easily adjusted without dismounting the fitting and re-cutting the cables.

What ceiling height is needed?

For installation over a kitchen island or dining table, ceiling heights of 2.4m or above are recommended. The pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, so lower ceilings may result in restricted headroom or the pendant sitting too high to provide effective task lighting.
