Description

This round ceramic Christmas ornament carries one of the most quoted lines of the season, printed twice in bold black capitals around its white rim: Merry Christmas Ya Filthy Animal, with a small dot between the two. In the centre, on a soft pink disc, a cartoon boy in a red knitted jumper clasps his hands to his cheeks, blue eyes wide and mouth open in a shocked scream. Pink is the main colour, with the multicoloured cartoon and white rim around it. It is a flat disc, 7.3cm across and 7.3cm from top to bottom, and just 0.5cm deep.

Hang it on the tree where it will be seen at eye level, because this is a piece that gets a laugh from anyone who knows the line. Being so slim, it also sits neatly on a door handle, a cupboard knob, a window latch or a hook along a shelf, and it adds a cheeky note to a garland over the mantelpiece.
