Description

This cheerful snow globe brings Mickey Mouse to your Christmas decorating, standing inside a clear dome on a bright red resin base with an LED light. Mickey is dressed for the season in a red and white Santa hat, a gold scarf and sparkly red shorts, with his white gloved hands on his hips and gold shoes. Around the base, metallic effect gold lettering reads "Merry Christmas", set among white snowflakes and tiny stars. It is a compact piece, 10cm tall and 7cm wide and deep, so it fits neatly on even a crowded shelf.

We think it looks its best on a mantelpiece, a windowsill, a bedside table or a desk, anywhere a small festive touch is welcome through December. With its LED lit, Mickey stands out inside the dome, which makes the globe a cheerful sight on a dark winter afternoon. It is a decoration for dry rooms indoors, so it is happiest in a living room, hallway, bedroom or study. As a Christmas gift it is easy to love: small enough to wrap with ease or tuck into a stocking, and bright enough to come out year after year when the decorations go up.

The base is resin, finished in a rich red with metallic effect gold for the lettering, and the figure's scarf and shoes pick up the same gold. To keep it looking fresh, dust it with a soft dry cloth and keep it somewhere it will not be knocked, as it is a decorative piece rather than a toy. When Christmas is over, wrap it in tissue and store it upright in a box until next year. For a festive display, set it at eye level beside some greenery or a string of cards, where Mickey's grin can greet everyone who walks past.
