Description

Our medium urn vase brings a classic silhouette to the shelf, mantel or dining table. Shaped with a rounded body that tapers towards a narrow neck and finished with a pair of looping side handles, it recalls the traditional pottery forms that have furnished British homes for generations. Standing 29cm tall and measuring 29cm across, it holds its own as a single piece or as part of a grouping of vases at differing heights.

The ceramic body carries a warm brown glaze that shifts subtly across the surface, catching the light where the curve is fullest and settling deeper in the recesses. Left empty, the vase reads as a sculptural object in its own right, and the handles give it a sense of weight and purpose on an open bookshelf or sideboard. Fill it with tall dried grasses, pampas or eucalyptus and the shape frames the stems neatly, keeping them upright through the narrow neck.
