The glass shade tapers from a wide 356mm rim to a narrower apex, creating a conical profile that directs light downwards while the etched finish diffuses the beam and softens glare. The olde bronze metalwork includes a decorative cast tension knob at the top of the yoke mount and a matching ceiling rose.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, dining tables and in hallways where a single light source is needed at head height, the Mayflower-2 hangs on a rod and cable system adjustable between 349mm and 1099mm drop on installation. The shorter drop suits standard 2.4m ceilings with the pendant positioned 600-800mm above a worktop or table, while the maximum 1099mm drop accommodates higher ceilings or creates a lower-hung statement in entrance halls.

The yoke-mount glass holders grip the rim of the amber glass shade with three contact points, holding the glass securely without metal clips or visible fixings across the glass surface itself. The Mayflower-2 takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb around 6-10W and 2700K-3000K to complement the amber glass tone.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation between 349mm and 1099mm by shortening or lengthening the rod and cable before the ceiling rose is fixed. Once installed, the height is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and re-installed with a different rod configuration.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum 349mm drop suits standard 2.4m ceilings when the pendant is hung 600-800mm above a table or kitchen island. The maximum 1099mm drop works in rooms with ceilings of 3m or higher, or where a lower-hung pendant is desired in an entrance hall or over a central dining table.
