Description

The Knightsbridge RW6MW is an 85mm matt white bezel designed to fit the manufacturer's IP65 fire-rated LED downlights. Made from pressed steel with a powder-coated matt white finish, the bezel provides the visible trim ring that sits flush against the ceiling surface once the downlight is installed.

Designed for outdoor soffits, covered porches, bathroom zones and other IP65-rated ceiling applications, the bezel clips onto the downlight housing during installation to create a watertight seal between the fitting and the ceiling. The 4mm projection from the ceiling surface gives a shallow, recessed appearance that minimises visual clutter in low-ceiling spaces. The matt white finish pairs with white or light-toned ceilings and woodwork without creating a strong contrast.

The bezel fits three specific Knightsbridge fire-rated downlight models: the 6W 3000K, the 5W 3000K, and the 6W 4000K versions (all sold separately). Each of those downlights carries a 90-minute fire rating, meaning the bezel is designed to maintain integrity during a fire test when fitted to the correct downlight. The pressed steel construction resists corrosion in damp outdoor environments better than plastic bezels, and the powder coating provides UV resistance for soffits exposed to direct sunlight.

Which downlights does this bezel fit?

The RW6MW bezel fits three Knightsbridge fire-rated IP65 downlight models: the 6W 3000K (warm white), the 5W 3000K, and the 6W 4000K (cool white). It will not fit other manufacturers' downlights or non-fire-rated models.

Can this bezel be used indoors?

Yes. The IP65 rating makes it suitable for both outdoor soffits and indoor damp environments like bathrooms (zones 1 and 2) and kitchens. The matt white finish works in any interior setting where a recessed downlight is needed.

Does the bezel maintain the fire rating?

Yes. When fitted to the compatible Knightsbridge fire-rated downlight, the bezel maintains the 90-minute fire rating of the complete assembly. The bezel must be fitted correctly during installation to preserve this rating.

Is the bezel sold with the downlight?

No. The bezel is sold separately from the downlight. This allows installers to choose different bezel finishes (matt white, brushed chrome, polished chrome, etc.) to match the ceiling or interior scheme.
