The Matrimonio is a 162mm-diameter mini pendant with a turned driftwood base, dark weathered zinc canopy and a clear glass bell shade. The driftwood base sits inside the glass, showing turned detailing and a warm honey-brown wood grain, while the weathered zinc canopy and black fabric cable provide industrial-toned contrast. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallway clusters and alcove task lighting, the Matrimonio works as a single pendant over a small table or in multiples spaced 600-900mm apart along an island or bar worktop. The 4572mm cable length allows drops from low ceilings or high-ceiling installations where the pendant needs to hang well into the room. The clear glass bell directs most light downward while the turned wood base remains visible from the sides, giving the fitting both functional and decorative presence.

The driftwood finish on the turned base shows natural grain variation between pieces, with tones ranging from pale sand to deeper honey-brown depending on the section of wood used. The dark weathered zinc canopy carries a matt, slightly mottled surface that reads darker than polished or brushed metals but lighter than pure black, sitting comfortably in farmhouse, industrial and transitional interiors. The 162mm glass bell is small enough not to overwhelm a narrow hallway or compact kitchen zone but large enough to provide useful task light over a worktop or desk.

What bulb does the Matrimonio take?

The pendant takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2200K-2700K to complement the driftwood finish and create a warm glow through the clear glass.

Can it be installed on a sloped ceiling?

The 4572mm fabric cable is flexible and can drape naturally on a sloped ceiling, but the fitting is designed primarily for level ceiling installation. On steep slopes, the canopy may need additional support or adjustment to sit flush against the ceiling.

Does the driftwood vary between pieces?

Yes. The driftwood base is turned from natural wood, so grain patterns, knot placement and tonal variation differ between individual pendants. This is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.

How many pendants are needed for a kitchen island?

For a standard 1.8-2.4m kitchen island, two or three Matrimonio pendants spaced 600-900mm apart provide balanced task lighting. For a smaller breakfast bar or single-seat workstation, one pendant is sufficient.
