Description

The Masmena is a compact LED outdoor wall light in the shape of a neat cube. It is 10cm high and 10cm wide, and it stands 10cm out from the wall. Its body is cast aluminium in an anthracite finish, a deep charcoal grey with a slightly textured surface, and it carries a clear glass shade. The light source is an integrated LED giving 840 lumens at 3000K, a warm white that sits comfortably against brick, render and timber. It is rated IP54, protected from dust and splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall without fuss.

Because it is so small, it suits spots where a larger lantern would crowd the space: beside a front door, along a side return, next to a garage or either side of patio doors. A pair flanking an entrance looks tidy and deliberate, and a run of them along a garden wall gives an even rhythm of warm light after dark. The open underside gives the cube a crisp, architectural outline in daylight too. The anthracite pairs naturally with grey window frames, dark composite doors and modern cladding, yet it sits just as quietly against older brick.

The body is cast aluminium and the whole light weighs 0.45KG. Aluminium does not rust, which is worth having on an outside wall. There is no switch on the light itself; it runs from your wall switch on a 220 to 240V, 50/60Hz mains supply. The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to change, but the LED and driver can both be replaced by a specialist, which means a worn part need not mean a new light. It is energy class D.
