Description

The Marquette is a 711mm diameter chandelier carrying six E14 candle bulbs on scrolled arms, finished in heirloom bronze with antique gold highlights and dressed with faceted crystal droplets. The frame is built around a central baroque-style column with outward-scrolling arms that curve back on themselves, each terminating in a candle drip tray and socket. Crystal droplets hang at intervals along the arms and from the lower finial.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the chandelier requires substantial ceiling volume to balance its 965mm body height. The adjustable drop ranges from 1055mm minimum (body plus canopy and short chain) to 3493mm maximum (full 2438mm chain extension), allowing the fitting to be positioned 700-900mm above a dining table or lowered into a double-height space. The 711mm width suits tables of 1.8-2.4m length or entrance halls of 3.5-4.5m square.

The heirloom bronze finish is a dark brown-black base with worn gold rubbed into raised details, giving the metalwork an aged appearance that pairs with oak furniture, darker wood tones and traditional interiors. The scrollwork follows classical wrought-iron proportions, with the curves and counter-curves creating visual movement around the vertical axis. Each crystal drop is cut with multiple facets that catch and split candlelight, adding sparkle without the density of a full crystal chandelier.

The chain length is set during installation by removing links to shorten the 2438mm supplied chain. Once installed and the ceiling rose closed, adjusting the drop requires removing the chandelier and reopening the ceiling connection.

How is the heirloom bronze finish maintained?

The heirloom bronze is a factory-applied antiqued finish that does not require polishing. Dust the metalwork with a soft dry cloth. The crystal drops can be wiped with a barely-damp microfibre cloth and dried immediately to prevent water spots.
