Maremagnum 1 Light Flush Ceiling Light - Antique Brass

The Maremagnum is a 120mm flush ceiling light with a clear sculptural glass orb held inside an antique brass frame of flowing curved bands. The metal bands wrap around the glass sphere in intersecting loops, creating a geometric cage that both supports and frames the central bulb. A single G9 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass, which refracts and diffuses light outward through the gaps between the brass bands.

Designed for low-ceiling spaces where a pendant would hang too low, the Maremagnum projects just 100mm from the ceiling and mounts directly to a standard ceiling rose. The compact size suits hallways, entrance lobbies, cloakrooms, reading corners and bedroom zones where decorative accent lighting is needed without filling the space. The antique brass finish softens reflections and pairs with both traditional and transitional interiors, while the clear glass keeps the fitting visually light despite the metal structure.

The sculptural form of the glass orb gives the fitting decorative weight beyond what its 120mm diameter suggests. Each curved brass band is fixed at both ends to the circular ceiling plate, creating structural stability while giving the impression of continuous movement around the sphere. The glass itself is moulded with faceted geometric planes that catch and scatter light when the bulb is on, adding subtle highlights to walls and ceilings. At 0.6kg total weight, the fitting is light enough for plasterboard ceiling fixings if required.

Is the Maremagnum dimmable?

Yes, provided you fit a dimmable G9 bulb and pair it with a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself supports dimming, but the bulb and dimmer must both be rated for dimming. Non-dimmable G9 LEDs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What bulb does it take?

The Maremagnum takes a single G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users fit a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K) for ambient hallway or accent lighting. The fitting accepts halogen G9 bulbs up to the maximum wattage stated on the label inside the ceiling plate.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 100mm projection makes the Maremagnum a good choice for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3m or lower, where a pendant would hang into the space. The flush mount sits close to the ceiling without intruding into headroom.

Can the glass orb be replaced if damaged?

The glass orb is a replaceable component, but availability depends on Mantra's spare parts supply. Contact us for replacement glass availability before ordering if you require this as a long-term serviceable fitting.
