Mare Wall Light - Chrome With Round Mirrored Glass Diffuser

The Mare is a 40cm mirrored glass wall light mounted on a polished chrome arm that projects 13cm from the wall. The circular glass disc is treated with a textured ripple pattern across its mirrored surface, refracting light across the wall in overlapping reflections. A single G9 bulb sits behind the glass disc, positioned to cast light both forward through the textured mirror and outward as a wall wash.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and bedroom feature walls where wall-mounted accent lighting is needed, the Mare provides both ambient light and a visual focal point. The 44.5cm overall height from the wall mounting point to the top of the chrome arm means the fitting suits wall heights of 2.2m or above, typically positioned 1.5-1.8m from the floor. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor spaces only.

The mirrored glass disc shows different reflective qualities depending on room lighting and viewing angle — in daylight it acts as a reflective decorative object, while at night the G9 bulb activates the ripple texture to scatter light across the surrounding wall. The polished chrome arm and mounting plate pair cleanly with contemporary interiors using metallic accents, mirrors and glass furniture. The G9 bulb (sold separately) accepts halogen or LED up to 40W.

Product Manual

What bulb does the Mare wall light take?

The fitting takes a single G9 bulb up to 40W, sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED G9 between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting, though halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the Mare is suitable for dry indoor spaces only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any location where moisture or water spray is present.

How is the mirrored glass cleaned?

Wipe gently with a soft microfibre cloth. For fingerprints or marks, use a standard glass cleaner on the cloth rather than spraying directly onto the fitting. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the mirrored surface or the textured ripple pattern.

What height should it be mounted at?

The Mare is typically mounted 1.5-1.8m from the floor, which positions the 40cm glass disc at eye level or slightly above in most rooms. The 44.5cm vertical dimension from mounting point to the top of the chrome arm means the fitting works best on walls 2.2m or higher.
