The Marblehead is a 330mm diameter outdoor flush ceiling light with two E27 bulb fittings housed behind clear seeded glass panels, set within a palladian bronze metal frame. The frame is constructed from weather-resistant composite material with arched window-style detailing around the glass, and the clear seeded glass provides light diffusion while showing visible air bubbles and texture within the panes.

Designed for covered outdoor ceilings including porch canopies, verandas, balcony soffits and carport entrances, the Marblehead carries an IP44 rating protecting against splashing water from any direction but requiring overhead shelter from direct rainfall. The 127mm fitting height suits standard ceiling clearances above doorways and allows the light to sit close to the ceiling plane without projecting down into headroom. The fixture mounts to a standard UK ceiling rose and accepts any E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W per socket.

The palladian bronze finish combines dark brown metalwork with subtle gold highlights in the detailing, giving the fitting a warm traditional appearance that pairs with brick, stone, timber cladding and painted render exteriors. The seeded glass effect is created during the glassblowing process, resulting in intentional variation in bubble size and distribution between individual panes. Each E27 socket is independently switched if wired to a two-gang switch, or controlled together on a single switch depending on installation preference.

Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor locations?

No. The IP44 rating protects against splashing water but the Marblehead requires overhead cover such as a porch roof, veranda canopy or balcony soffit. It is not rated for direct exposure to rain or snow.

What bulbs does it take?

The Marblehead takes two E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor porch and entrance lighting.

What is seeded glass?

Seeded glass contains intentional air bubbles created during the glassblowing process. These bubbles diffuse the light and create visual texture when the bulbs are lit. The bubble pattern and density vary between individual glass panes.

How is the fixture cleaned?

The glass panels and bronze frame can be wiped with a damp cloth. For stubborn marks on the glass, use a standard glass cleaner. The composite frame material resists corrosion and does not require sealing or protective treatment.
