Description

This marbled glass table lamp sets a round ball of white glass, swirled with soft grey marbling, on a low bronze-toned base. Switch it on and the glass glows a warm cream while the swirls soften to a gentle tan, so it looks like a quiet piece of decoration by day and a cosy light by evening. It stands 16.5cm tall and 11.3cm across, compact enough for a narrow bedside table or a crowded shelf, and the touch control and LED light keep it simple to live with.

We think it suits a bedroom best, where a single touch brings up a soft glow for winding down without hunting for a switch in the dark. It works just as well on a desk, a side table in the living room, a hallway console or a bookshelf, anywhere a corner needs a little warmth. Because it draws its power over USB, it can run from a computer or a USB mains plug, which is handy on a home office desk where a laptop is already set up. It is also an easy gift to choose for anyone who loves a softly lit room.

The glass ball rests in a shallow collar on top of the round base, and its smooth, glossy surface catches the light even when the lamp is off, so the marbling still reads clearly by day. To keep it looking its best, unplug it before cleaning, then dust the glass and the base with a soft dry cloth; a lightly damp cloth will lift fingerprints from the glass. For a relaxed look, set it beside a short stack of books or a small vase of greenery, where the warm glow and the bronze tones of the base sit happily alongside wood and natural textures.

Frequently Asked

How big is this table lamp?

It stands 16.5cm tall and measures 11.3cm across, so it fits comfortably on a bedside table, a desk or a narrow shelf.

How is the lamp powered?

It runs from USB power, so you can connect it to a computer or a USB mains plug wherever suits your room.

How do I switch the lamp on?

It has a touch control, so a simple touch brings up the LED light without any need to search for a switch.

What is the lamp made of?

The round shade is glass with a white and grey marbled pattern, and it sits on a low, round bronze-toned base.

Does the marbling look different when the lamp is lit?

Yes. Unlit, the glass is white with grey swirls; lit, it glows a warm cream and the swirls take on a soft tan tone.

How should I clean it?

Unplug it first, then dust the glass and the base with a soft dry cloth; a lightly damp cloth will lift fingerprints from the glass.
