Description

The Marble is a single wall light built around a 21cm white opal glass globe suspended from a brushed brass arm fixed to a circular brass backplate. The opal glass diffuses light evenly in all directions, casting a soft ambient glow suitable for hallways, bedrooms, and living spaces where direct glare needs to be avoided. The E27 fitting inside the globe accepts any standard E27 LED, halogen or filament bulb up to 60W (sold separately).

Designed for wall mounting at 1.5-1.8m height, the Marble pairs well with mirror flanking in bathrooms (IP20 rating restricts use to Zone 3 only), hallway runs where multiple fittings create even ambient light, and bedside positions where the diffused light provides reading illumination without harsh shadows. The 20cm projection from wall to globe centre means the fitting works on narrower hallways without encroaching into circulation space.

The brushed brass finish on the metal components provides a warm metallic accent that pairs comfortably with both traditional and contemporary interiors, while the low-sheen brushed surface reduces reflections compared to polished brass. The opal glass globe is a single-piece moulded component fixed to the brass arm via a threaded brass cap, making bulb changes straightforward without tools. The combined metal and glass weight gives the fitting a substantial feel once installed, and the circular brass backplate of approximately 12cm diameter covers standard UK wall box apertures.

What bulb does the Marble take?

The fitting takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient lighting in hallways and bedrooms.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating restricts use to Zone 3 in bathrooms — areas more than 600mm from the edge of a bath or shower cubicle. It cannot be installed directly above or adjacent to water sources.

What's the projection from the wall?

The globe projects approximately 20cm from the wall surface to its centre. The backplate adds minimal depth, so total projection from wall to furthest point of the globe is approximately 30cm including the glass diameter.

How is the bulb accessed for replacement?

The opal glass globe is held in place by a threaded brass cap at the top. Unscrew the cap anticlockwise to lower the globe and access the E27 bulb. No tools are required for bulb changes.
