The Mara is a 550mm pendant light built around four E27 bulb fittings housed within an ivory white pleated fabric shade, suspended from a sculptural antique brass frame. The frame curves upward from a central stem in two opposing arms that cross and extend vertically above the shade, creating a symmetrical swept profile. A clear crystal droplet hangs beneath the shade as a decorative accent.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.6m or above, the Mara combines directed downlight through the shade with visual presence from the antique brass framework. The drop adjusts between 750mm and 1500mm on installation, allowing the pendant to be set 700-800mm above a dining surface or higher in double-height spaces. The four E27 sockets accept standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W each (sold separately), and the fitting is dimmable when paired with compatible bulbs and a suitable dimmer.

The antique brass finish on the metalwork shows a deliberately aged patina with darker tonal variation in the recesses of the curved arms, contrasting with the clean vertical pleating of the ivory fabric shade. The pleated texture softens the light distribution while the shade's 550mm diameter provides coverage over a 1.2-1.4m dining table without overwhelming smaller rooms. What bulbs does the Mara take?

The pendant has four E27 (Edison screw) sockets, each accepting bulbs up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining or ambient lighting.

Is it dimmable?

How is the shade cleaned?

The ivory pleated fabric shade can be dusted with a soft brush or microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water, working along the pleats. Avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays.
